Horse Friendly Holidays in Derbyshire

Example Itinerary

4 night horse holiday package

DAY ONE

Arrive at Arbor Low in the afternoon. After a home cooked dinner relax in the guest lounge or visit Arbor Low Stone Circle, the “Stonehenge” of the North. Stay overnight at Arbor Low.

DAY TWO

Ride out for the day from Arbor Low with your packed lunch. A choice of rides are available of differing lengths and for all abilities, so you can ease yourself in gently or, if you and your horse are feeling fit, go for something more challenging!

DAY THREE

After a hearty breakfast, ride from Arbor Low to Rushop Hall along the Pennine Bridleway. Stop en-route to enjoy your packed lunch. Arrive at Rushop Hall where you will again be treated to a fabulous two course dinner before retiring to the guest lounge with wonderful views of the Peak District National Park.

DAY FOUR

A variety of rides are available from Rushop Hall along with advice and information to help you decide what's best for you. The Pennine Bridleway is on the doorstep with easy to follow trails through stunning scenery.

If you fancy a lazy day after the previous days exertions the local area has many attractions, pubs and cafes where you can while away some time whilst your horse has a rest in the paddock.

DAY FIVE

Ride from Rushop Hall back to Arbor Low arriving mid afternoon with time to pack up, load the horses and return home. A Pennine Bridleway Trails rosette will be awarded to you in recognition of your achievements and as a memento of your stay.

Total cost £320 per person for 5 days and 4 nights (based on two sharing a twin or double room).

Of course your horse holiday in Derbyshire can be extended by adding extra days at either of the farms. Each location has numerous petal loop rides and we are very happy to provide maps and directions to ensure that you have a really memorable riding holiday.
